Recently, we have found an error that prevents users from establishing a connection with their Bitcoin remote central node when trying to access it through Sparrow. Specifically, when connecting remotely, users have been receiving an HTTP response error of “server: 403” erl error as http: // ....

Error 403 is typically caused by anyone:

• Limit the speed : Some nodes of the Bitcoin nucleus may have a speed limitation in place, which can block connections from external IP addresses until they reach a certain threshold.

• Authentication problems : In some cases, authentication errors can occur when trying to authenticate with the remote bitcoin node node, resulting in an HTTP 403 state code.

Solution

To solve this problem, our technical team has implemented several corrections to guarantee a soft and safe connection for all users:

• Speed ​​limitation adjustment : We have adjusted the limitation of speed in some of our nodes to allow more external IP address connections.

• Authentication updates : Our authentication protocol has been updated to avoid authentication errors and ensure that remote bitcoin nodes can connect successfully.

To take advantage of these changes, you must update your Sparrow version at least V1.9.3 (the latest version). This update includes the necessary corrections for the limitation and authentication of speed.
